Bachelor of Music Education - Drake University - Des Moines, Iowa
Audrey Brynda is very excited to be joining the Marie Murphy Music Staff as the Choral Director this school year. She comes from the Deerfield Public School District after 5 years of teaching K-5 General Music, directing a 4th/5th grade choir, 6 grade-level music shows each year and directing/producing a 3rd/4th/5th grade musical. Audrey received her Bachelor of Music Education from Drake University in 2019, has completed her Kodaly Levels I and II at Depaul University and is in pursuit of her Masters of Music Education with Special Education emphasis from Wichita State University.
Outside of Marie Murphy, Audrey teaches private voice lessons, directs the Teen Choir at St. Emily Church and subs at various districts throughout the Chicagoland area. She also likes to spend her free time in community theatre productions, jamming on her ukulele or hanging out with her husband and cat, Ollie. Fun Fact! Audrey is a HUGE Disney nerd and got the special privilege to work in Disney World for 6 months in the fall of 2019 (sadly, no, not as a performer but still a dream come true). Can’t wait for a wonderful year of music-making!
