Daniel Hammond has been the General Music teacher at Marie Murphy School since 2015. He completed his undergraduate degree at Augustana College in 2010, where he sang in the Augustana Choir, Chamber Singers, and Handel Oratorio Society.  Daniel completed his Master’s Degree in Music Education at VanderCook College of Music in 2017.  After completing his undergraduate degree, Daniel taught English at Central China Normal University and worked with the university’s TianKong Choir and conductor Dr. Tian Xiaobao.  Since returning from China, Daniel has taught music at both the middle and high school levels.  In addition to his work at Marie Murphy, Daniel is also the Operations Manager for the Youth Choral Theater of Chicago.
